Phyllis Holt's intent for the Network of Executive Women scholarship program was in the spirit of helping educate those women who have little or no means by which to obtain an education.
The goal of our scholarship awards is to help recipients complete enough education to find meaningful employment, re-enter the work force, or better their present position.
CRITERIA
The primary objective of the Network of Executive Women scholarship awards is to help women in need of financial assistance obtain undergraduate degrees, retraining, or certification.
Undergraduate level scholarships are offered to women residing or attending school in the New Haven or Fairfield Counties of Connecticut and demonstrating financial need.
Applicants must be returning to, continuing, or commencing schooling or other specific training to further their education in order to enhance their job skills.
Scholarships are awarded to women who, in our estimation, could best realize their potential by continuing their education.

APPLICATION PROCESS
- Scholarships are awarded annually in April.
- Applications are available in February.
In addition to proving financial need, each applicant must show a commitment to her chosen program. All required information is included in the scholarship application. (In fairness to all applicants, completed applications will only be considered if submitted within the time frame stated for that year.)
Each applicant must meet with the Scholarship Committee for an in-person interview to verify long and short-term goals and answer any questions that may need clarification. The Scholarship Committee then submits applicant information for recommended award candidates to the Board of Directors for approval.
